Health & Safety

With the litigation culture becoming evermore prevalent, good Health & Safety practice is essential. Employers have legal obligations to comply with and failure to do so can lead to criminal prosecutions and hefty fines.

Many companies do not have the time, resources or expertise to handle these issues effectively in-house. Insurance Risk Solutions Health & Safety Service meets these needs and is aimed at those organisations where it is not possible to carry the overhead of a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Manager or where they wish to have access to specialist expertise.

Our qualified Consultants are able to undertake the following:

  • An in-depth Audit of your existing H&S arrangements, including a written report on the findings.
  • Assistance in preparing a H&S Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Training of key staff on how to undertake a General Risk assessment.
  • Wide range of Risk Assessments undertaken, including Fire, COSHH, Machinery, Noise & Vibration, Work at Height, Manual Handling.
  • Write Safe Systems of Work and Method Statements.
  • Write Asbestos Management Plans.
  • In-house training courses tailored to your specific requirements. Such courses include Directors Responsibilities, Risk Assessor, H&S for Managers, COSHH, VDU Assessor, Induction Training, Manual Handling, Role of the Safety Representatives.
  • On-going support in the form of follow-up monitoring visits, technical advice and referral, assistance with preparation of tender specifications.

This service is fee based and is subject to VAT at the current rate. Prior to engagement, we will agree with you a daily rate for this bespoke service.

We are happy to provide a programme of annual support to our clients in all areas of Health & Safety where fees are scale based on the number of employees and client location. Again, VAT would be applicable at the current rate.
